Will my Driver's License be Suspended if I am Convicted of a Drug Related Offense?

Prior to September 13th, 2016 if you were convicted of a drug related offense, regardless of whether the offense involved a motor vehicle, it carried a mandatory 6 month driver’s license suspension.  The new law permits courts to exercise discretion in regard to driver’s license suspensions when sentencing for drug related crimes.  So your driver’s license could be suspended for a drug related conviction.  Please call our offices if you have been charged with a drug related crime.
